PAROS

Paros belongs to the Cyclades and holds the third place, in terms of the surface area, compared to the other islands of this complex. ANTIPAROS

ANDROS

Andros belongs to the Cyclades and is the second largest island of this complex. Its mountainous part consists mainly of four mountain ranges, which actually intersect the island in five separate, almost parallel, parts. The cultural interest of the island is also great, with travelers being able to visit a variety of museums of different content. The most important is that of Contemporary Art. Access to the island is achieved by ferry from the port of Rafina.

IOS

Ios belongs to the island complex of the Cyclades. It is located between Naxos, Sikinos and Santorini. This is an island with special development with several famous beach bars, restaurants and entertainment shops. SYROS

Ermoupolis of Syros is the capital of the Cyclades. Syros is located in the center of the complex and is adjacent to many of the islands that make it up. It has many permanent residents and combines island and city characteristics, due to its administrative importance. It has schools of all levels as well as two institutions of higher education. Their existence gives life to the island during the winter season too, as many students move to the island during their studies. Specifically, the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering (University of the Aegean) and the Merchant Marine Academy (MMA) operate. As a capital, in addition to all its administrative services, it also has a theater, cinema, municipal library, museums and galleries with numerous exhibitions. The northern part of "Apano Meria" is more mountainous than the rest of the island and is a part of Natura 2000, so there are not many houses. It has paths that lead to unique secluded beaches, which, due to this, always have very few people, beautiful landscapes, caves and small bridges. The rest of the island has a good road network. Ermoupolis, located in the eastern part of the island, is the capital of the island. The port is also located there. At the highest point, above the port, the Catholic Diocese of Agios Georgios is built, which is accessible either by road or by climbing countless steps on foot. The view from this point is unique. The southern part is flat. Most houses have been developed there, creating villages and settlements. The tourist activity of the island is very intense, as it combines the beauties of a Cycladic island with the conveniences of a "capital". SYROS

TINOS

Tinos belongs to the Cyclades, holding the third place in terms of size in relation to the other islands of the complex. It is located very close to Andros, Mykonos and the capital of the Cyclades, Ermoupolis of Syros. It has permanent residents and therefore has schools of all levels. It is generally a mountainous island with vegetation consisting mainly of short shrubs. Most sections are sloping and thus create the "lynchets", which look like large stairs in the area. The island has very beautiful beaches. In fact, it is known that it attracts many surfers as there are often blowing winds and in certain places raises a lot of waves, serving the needs of this activity. The island has a unique architecture and is known for its dovecotes and its countless picturesque chapels, which together with the churches are estimated at around seven hundred and fifty. Tinos also has many villages with different character, most of which are interesting to visit. The island of Pyrgos, intertwined with marble craftsmanship (as well as the whole island), hosts the School of Marble Craftsmanship. Tinian marble craftsmanship is included in the List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The reference point of the island is the pilgrimage of the icon of Evangelistria. Hundreds of visitors arrive on the island every day thanks to the icon - some even on the same day - to make a vow. Many believers climb the hill, on which the monastery is built, "kneeling" until they reach the icon. The island's economy is based on tourism, which due to the Icon is strong throughout the year. Many inhabitants, however, are also engaged in agriculture, livestock, fishing and beekeeping. Access to the island is possible only by boat. Many of course choose to travel by plane to Mykonos and then take the ferry to Tinos.

KEA

Kea or Tzia belongs to the Cyclades. It is a small island very close to Lavrio (one hour by boat) with special beauty. It has permanent residents and, due to its short distance from Athens, is a destination for a quick getaway throughout the year, especially from spring onwards. There are beautiful beaches, but with difficult access and hiking trails.

Settlements built in the Cycladic style, traditional houses and human figures. There has been great growth in recent years. KEA

KYTHNOS

Kythnos or Thermia is a Cycladic island located very close to Lavrio (one hour and 40 minutes). It has beautiful landscapes, wonderful sandy beaches, picturesque chapels on hills and is an island known for its simplicity and tranquility. As in any Cycladic landscape, Kythnos does not lack windmills, cobbled narrow alleys, white houses with blue windows.

Much of the southern part is almost uninhabited, but other areas, such as Chora, Merichas with the port, the village of Dryopida have begun to grow significantly, attracting more and more travelers and investors. The second name of the island, Thermia, is due to the thermal baths with the two hot springs that exist in the area of the same name in the island, Loutra, in which a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy center now operates.

KYTHNOS

SIKINOS

Sikinos is an island in the Cyclades with few permanent residents. Despite this fact, it has schools up to the level of High School, which are all located in the fortified Castle, which is one of the three settlements of the island. In the Castle there is also the doctor's office, the town hall and some shops and cafes. Accommodation, nightclubs and supermarkets are located in Alopronia which is the seaside settlement where the port of Sikinos is.

The third settlement is Chorio. Sikinos is known for its chapels. Specifically, it has sixty-one chapels and six Byzantine temples with frescoes placed in the 13th-14th century. Its inhabitants have long been engaged in agriculture, livestock and cheese-making, fishing and beekeeping. The island has very beautiful landscapes that inspire peace and tranquility. KALYMNOS

Kalymnos belongs to the island complex of the Dodecanese. It is a fairly densely populated island with a relatively large number of permanent residents. It is known as an island of climbing due to its geomorphology. It is basically mountainous with stony ground without many trees and small plains. It is characterized by many capes and coves due to the fact that its coasts are steep. This form is completed by the existence of many caves.

The island has many museums of various themes. Some of them are the Marine Life and Findings Museum, the Archaeological and the Nautical Museum. Access to the island is easy either by boat or by air, since it has an airport now.
